Editorial and Corrections Policy

Updated 10 October 2026 · Job7u editorial team

Our standard is useful, sourced recruitment information. Discovery on another job board is the beginning of a check, not permission to copy its article.

Before a vacancy is published

  1. Find a readable original advert or the employer’s recruitment page. Record the source URL, notice reference, publication date and review date.
  2. Identify the exact role, employer, location, application route and closing date. Read corrigenda and withdrawals where available.
  3. Match qualifications, experience, age conditions, fees and supporting documents to that exact role. Leave unstated fields empty rather than borrowing another job’s values.
  4. Write a concise original explanation: who can apply, which evidence proves eligibility, common source-specific mistakes and the next action.
  5. Confirm rights for any reproduced image or lengthy extract. Prefer a short original summary linked to the primary source.
  6. Check the public page and its structured data before marking the vacancy verified. Recheck status when a source changes or a deadline passes.

Current, historical and under review

Current listings require a checked source and a future closing date. Historical pages explicitly state that the advertised deadline has passed. Notices with conflicting dates or unreadable evidence stay in drafts until resolved. We do not recycle an old notice by changing its year.

Corrections and duplicates

We compare role, notice number, employer, deadline and advert content before merging duplicate pages. Different roles at one employer remain distinct. We correct material errors and explain significant changes. Report a problem with a page URL and source evidence through our contact page.

Editorial independence

Advertising, where displayed, is separate from eligibility and editorial conclusions. Job7u does not sell selection, accept application fees or promise an appointment. Practical examples in our guides are labelled as examples and are not official recruitment rules.
